Is there really a proper definition or description for the Pug?

When I look into my trusty New Webster's Dictionary it gives me, "One of a breed of dogs resembling a small bulldog".

Small bulldog??? For heaven's sake! Well maybe Wiki will tell me more...

Wikipedia: "the pug is a "toy" (very small) breed of dog with a wrinkly, short-muzzled face, and curled tail".

What is it about pugs that make them so special?

Honestly I'm not sure I know but they seem to be unlike any other dog I've ever owned. So much so it feels wrong to even refer to them as dogs.

Hi everyone, I,m Andrew and my wife and I have 2 pugs, a black male, Wonka and a fawn female, Nilla.

We took our little girl to the pet store again today. She just loves all the sensory input! Lots of sights, smells, sounds, and people to meet. She really seems to enjoy these little outings, ride and all. Snuggles into 'Mommy's' arms as I navigate through the traffic to our destination. Of course when we're done there's always a treat waiting for her when we get home.
